1) What’s your name, where are you from, and where are you now?

My name is Nikolaos Konstantinidis. I am from Greece and I live in Thessaloniki.

2) What do you do at Clear Angle Studios?

I am part of the Greek Lidar Processing team and I work from home. My job is to process whatever we have scanned in any part of the planet with the appropriate quality and the required speed to deliver the best possible result. We get involved in almost every production and that’s very exciting.

3) What do you like most about working here?

The opportunity to work in the filming industry and be part of all these extraordinary things is really unique. We get to see and work on sets that I could never imagine I would. Everyone here is fantastic and that makes everyday special.

4) What’s the best project you’ve worked on?

I have to say it was Gladiator 2. The scale of it was unbelievable. When I first started working on it I didn’t realize that it was a set. I thought it was a real ancient city, well preserved somewhere out there. Truly magnificent.

5) What’s one piece of kit of a piece of software that makes your job better?

Leica’s point cloud software is a really powerful software that you can manage pointclouds almost at any way you want . There is a lot of room for creative solutions and I like that.

6) Give us a recommendation for something you like.

I really love hiking. It’s a great way to have fun on weekends, see new places and admire nature. You can also taste something really delightful, in these remote places up in the mountains!
